Presentations
Written by joakim on 2006, 12, 19 – 00:31:01I have been presenting things for such a long time that I rarely lose any sleep about new ones. At one point in my life, I worked soley on making interactive presentations for huge multinational companies. This particular job once took me all the way to the foot of Sweden’s tallest mountain Kebenekaise where about 100 salesmen had gathered to listen and watch a series of presentations I had co-authored.
Presentations are really dramatisations of ideas, thoughts and feelings. And the more thought through the presentation is, the more likely it will succeed at delivering the energy, enthusiasm and power of persuasion it needs. A good presentation takes time to plan, prepare and execute.
Classic rhetorical rules demand that presentations follow at least one of these three guidelines: Ethos, Pathos and Logos.
Today, just a short while to Christmas, I’m part of a team making a very important presenation. And spending some time preparing it will undoubtfully help us create a very convincing case.
