A new SoHo

So far, SoHo is without a doubt the coolest area in Hong Kong. We took the world’s longest escalator up to the top of the hill that engulfs SoHo and slowly paced our way down the small but commercially bustling streets.

After an hour or so, we ate lunch at a restaurant called Olive where they serve some of the best Lebanese food I’ve ever enjoyed. The lamb was succulent and the herbal greek salad with salmon was gorgeous. Did I mention the great service?

Somehow, we had a hard time leaving SoHo. When we finally did, it was to take a taxi back to the hotel. And because we couldn’t be bothered to go out to eat, I strolled down to Time Square Shopping Plaza and bought some fruit and sushi to eat in our room. A picknick on the bed isn’t half bad after a full day in town.

Tomorrow, we’ll visit Ocean Park to see how it compares to Disneyland. I’ll be counting Elle’s smiles. After that visit, our intention is to make it up to Victoria Peak to get a great view of HK. After that? Who knows…
