Yesterday, I participated in an interesting workshop at a company located on the Docks. More on that later. The workshop ended a little earlier than I had expected so there was time for a lunch run.

As it turned out, I ran a new personal record for the 10 km at 54:12. At around 16 C and sunny skies, the weather couldn’t have been much better. And when I’d completed 5 km, I new a record was within reach. The voice of Lance Armstrong confirmed the good news directly in my iPod shortly before I began stretching after the run.

Later yesterday evening, I looked up some records for the 10 km distance and became less impressed with my achievement. It turns out that the world record for 10.000 meters is about 26 minutes, or half the time it took for me to complete the distance. I’m still happy with my personal best declining from 1:01 to 54:12 in just three months and now I’ll be setting some new challenges at the Nike+ site.

Today I get to visit Landskrona. But first a few hours knockin’ away at the keyboard.
