My run in numbers

My run in numbers

My knees are aching, my right hip gives me a slight limp (a bit like Kevin Spacey’s character Roger ‘Verbal’ Kint in The Usual Suspects) and the ankle on my left foot feels weird. But for all the aches and pains that I feel after jogging ten thousand meters, afterwards I still feel great and rejuvenated. Especially today when I achieved a new personal record.

In a few hours time I’ll be on a plane bound for the capital of Spain. Last I was in the country was about a year ago and then on the beautiful island of Majorca. I’m sure I’ll feel comfortably at home with the café, bar and restaurant scene in Madrid and adjust nicely to not hearing the typical lisping sound from those I dare speak my small Spanish vocabulary with.

I’ve never run in Madrid and I hope the early morning weather will accommodate at least a few decent miles. Looking forward this working holiday and even I’ll miss the family during my trip, I’m sure we’ll be in touch throughout its duration.
