Space man: Spacey

Late last night, after having worked the better part of the day (it’s not a job – it’s a pleasure!), I watched K-Pax again. What a great film it is. Reminded me a little of another classy flick, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest from 1975. Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges work so well together. Great timing and a wonderfully mind provoking script.

Ocean’s 13 on the other hand is a complete waste of time and money. Charlotte and I saw it Friday and we were both disappointed. With so much talent – Al Pacino, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Elliott Gould and the lovely Ellen Barkin – the story and dialogue were both surprisingly bad. The only thing really cool about Ocean’s (aside from an opportunity to chew on some popcorn) was the futuristic architecture of the Vegas hotel they robbed. Reminded me a little of the Turning Torso.

Monday is right around the corner and this forthcoming week will be extremely busy. Still no news on Midsummer. Looks like it’ll be nice and quiet.
