You gotta love it!

You gotta love it!

We had a great day yesterday. Saam and Saran came by with lovely Asia in the afternoon and we had lunch, hung around our studio and pool and later the beach where the Sudduens treated us to a tasty seafood dinner.

Keeping with the excellent dining traditions of Thailand, we all shared from the brimming plates of fresh shrimp, fish, squid and rice.

Saw the sign on the left as we were going to the beach. From both a copywriting and sign making perspective, its a true gem. I wonder how it came to be. Did the “artist” first realize that the space wasn’t going to be enough – or, did he/she lastly understand that the spelling was screwy and try to “fix” it afterwards?

When I was a kid in primary school, we had weekly spelling bees. I was usually among the last survivors and loved spelling both lengthy and unusual words. Today, I’m addicted to the dictionary service provided by Apple and integrated in most applications, like the one I’m using to write this, Safari 3 – now also available for PCs.

We’re taking our rented car today to a few of the many interior design shops on the island. Should be fun and interesting and still leave us with enough time for a swim in the pool later this afternoon. How will we ever be able to adjust to ordinary life again?
