French-American Breakfast

I suppose I’m feeling particularly American. Not sure if the dish qualifies as American, but I just ate a huge plate of home made French Toast drenched in Aunt Jemima’s maple syrup. For the toast, I used fresh carrot bread coated with roasted sunflower seeds. Needless to say, my breakfast was an absolutely amazing culinary experience that went completely unappreciated by the rest of the family.

The Raboffs slept exceptionally well last night. Our new, extra thick mattress pad arrived yesterday. Together with new pillows, comforters and sheets, creeping into bed was nothing less than bliss. Which is way more than I can say about this depressing weather. Maybe I should just go back to bed. Or, maybe I should fix Elle’s new bed so that she can start enjoying her new room.
