Mör som en biff
Written by joakim on 2008, 07, 11 – 18:09:44

Beach life
Written by joakim on 2008, 07, 11 – 13:18:25All three of us are now hooked on surfing. Here, Charlotte and Elle are using boogie boards, but after that, they both switched to proper surfboards. The waves are small and easy to ride, especially with a 9-footer. Tomorrow, we’ll be ridin’ in Kata Beach. Hm. looks like this trip will be a reasonably healthy one.

Low Season Thailand
Written by joakim on 2008, 07, 11 – 00:02:25
I’m doing what I can to spread the word about how great Thailand is to visit also during the low season. In a few weeks, four separate articles I’ve written will appear in a couple of Scandinavia’s most read travel mags. One of them will cover the benefits of visiting Thailand during the summer.
It’s really quiet here in Kata. There’s more staff at the restaurants than patrons, more taxis and tailors (duh!) than tourists and an armada of mopeds and motorcycles line almost every street in this otherwise very busy seaside village.
The beaches are far from empty, but still nowhere as densely packed as during the high season. We feel privileged to be here once again this summer. Last year’s visit was nice, but the weather seems cooler now. Almost as if it were December.
The Swedish summer is not to be compared with – but, spending a few weeks in Thailand will definitely put more tan on your back, more great food in your belly and absolutely offer a more relaxed environment in the land of smiles.

Shot this on Koh Samui a while back.
