Charlotte and I just got back from a showing of a recently finished townhouse a few hundred meters away from us. The place was amazing and kinda like a three story loft. Gorgeous cement floors, lots of glass and plenty of living and storage space. All very thoughtfully and tastefully designed. Add to this that there was a decent size backyard – and a rooftop garden, complete with grass and a meditation station – or whatever you call the triangular shaped glass case set in the middle.

A particularly interesting thing about the property is that the three architects that designed and built the co-op and two townhouses, also live there. Now how many architects actually live in the homes they design? Probably ridiculously few. Which I personally feel is one of the top reasons so many homes here in the Western Harbour have serious design issues  and low quality (but profitable) solutions. Most architects and developers here aren’t driven by a passion to create thoughtful homes where people live their lives. They just wanna make quick money and move on to the next lucrative project. Believe me, after five years here, I know this to be true.

Vilket nästan ofattbart fint väder vi har haft den här helgen. Vet inte hur det sett ut i övriga delar av Sverige, men i Skåneland har solen öst på som om vi vore i juli någon gång. Underbart. Igår kväll satt vi med vännerna i familjen Hansson-Johansson på deras mysiga balkong till megasent (01:00?). Och av någon anledning som jag inte riktigt förstår, vaknade jag redan klockan 06:00. Så här såg det ut från vårt tak vid den arla tiden:
