Elle and I took a few hours off from yesterday’s intense schedule to ride a few of the attractions at the amusement park on Santa Monica Pier. The pier itself is over 100 years old and even if most of the rides are considerably younger (but nowhere near new), the park’s atmosphere has always been provincial and inclusive. A far cry from corporate parks like Disneyland, Universal Studios or Magic Mountain.
